Redcar Academy to ensure year 7,8 and 9's are all library members

As a vital part of our key stage 3 literacy initiative, we are taking all year 7-9 English classes to the local Redcar library with a view to ensuring that each child becomes a member.

This will enable all students to have the opportunity to visit and borrow books from the library. The first visit on Friday with 2 year 8 classes was a great success with all pupils showing interest an engagement in the texts on offer. Further visits will take place over the coming fortnight.
